Day 15 - Eisenach to Hamelin

Eisenach is known for its connection to Bach and Martin Luther. A morning walk discovered Bachs house and monument and Luthers workshop

 

  

Then off to Wartburg Castle where Luther rewrote the Bible from Greek to German

 

   

 

 

It was also the home of St Elizabeth who gave all her wealth away to give to the poor and needy 

 

We then walked up to the top of the Burschenschaftsdenkmal 

Then off to Hamelin to explore the legend of the Piper
